Puttinu Cares is a children's cancer charity that is now also helping adults who need Specialised treatment abroad by providing them with temporary accommodation. The demand for this type of accommodation is increasing and presently more than fifty five patients a month travel to the UK for treatment.
This year's Puttinu Football and Volleyball Marathon has again demonstrated the immense generosity and solidarity of the Maltese and Gozitan people towards those of us who are in need.
The Marathon also showed the great support that Puttinu Cares enjoys from the Maltese public. We thank the nation for this support and for believing in our cause. With everybody's help we have managed to repay the loan to build twelve brand new apartments in Sutton in three years instead of ten. We believe that with this tremendous support we can achieve our goal that no family should pay for accommodation whilst having treatment in UK.
